Intraligator (10 out of 10 ) That's great! Awesome, I liked this movie :) P.S. From Russia with love.
Jewel (10 out of 10 ) It is too lovely, a timeless classic.
Rohan Miranda (10 out of 10 ) What a truly great film with a great underlying message of what life and living is about. Fantastic acting by all actors and especially by Anthony Hopkins - my favourite actor. Truly awesome script, great direction and music as well. Have seen it innumerable times so far and the beauty of this film is that I still look forward to watching it again and again.
Lane (10 out of 10 ) Absolutely fantastic script. Intelligent and clever dialogue that portrays the theme of living one's life everyday. The character of Joe Black is brilliantly written, giving him a mystical and powerful persona - yet also instilling within him endearing and utterly primal human qualities. Parrish's character is equally great, as well as, Susan's.
I love the description of Joe Black as he first appears. He is no longer handsome, but 'terrifyingly beautiful'. It can be seen so vividly in the film as well. What a subtle, yet powerful transformation.
"25 years...don't they go by in a blink?"
A beautiful film - should have gotten wider acclaim at it's release despite it's length, which i don't care what anybody says, is necessary to keep the film that long.
Davie Brayshaw (10 out of 10 ) Undoubtedly, one of my favorites. Claire Forlani is nothing short of stunning. Her gorgeous eyes are signs of God's marvelous handiwork. She should everyday thank Him with all her heart. Brad Pitt's (Joe Black) gentle responses, though simple, were packed with goodness. Anthony Hopkins, once again, displays in this film a mastery of his craft. He is one of the very best. The number of times I've watched this film still have not diminished my ability to take in it's message of love and the hereafter. In each viewing, lightning always strikes.
Diptendu Pathak (9 out of 10 ) Awesome movie. Mind blowing performances by all the actors, especially by Anthony Hopkins.
Hideyuki Baba (10 out of 10 ) I have seen this marvelous fantasy more than thirty times now. I am not joking. With its strikingly heart-gripping phrases, we can never find ourselves bored. I never see this film without crying when Bill talks about Joan, his beloved wife who was gone abruptly. And Allison makes me cry when she says, "I felt loved. That's what matters." I admire Mr Martin Brest's art of directing.
